Judith Kaplan, M.D.
Dr. Kaplan joins Northern Virginia Radiology Consultants as a board certified radiologist with subspecialty training in the field of musculoskeletal radiology and additional training in women’s imaging.
She specializes in imaging of sports injuries, arthritis, spine imaging, interpretation of MRI and computed tomography, and performance of musculoskeletal ultrasound and image-guided joint injections. In addition, she is experienced in interpretation of mammography including tomosynthesis (3-D mammography), breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and minimally invasive biopsies under stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI guidance. She has presented at national meetings on the topic of low dose CT techniques.
After graduating from Columbia University, Dr. Kaplan attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, then finished her training with a one year fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
A native of northern Virginia, Dr. Kaplan lives in Arlington, VA with her family. Her passions are travel and music.
