Dr. Petrovitch publishes article on foreign objects encountered on CT

NVRC Diagnostic Radiologist, Dr. Ivan Petrovitch, along with colleagues from Stanford University and Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Israel, have recently published their research on imaging foreign objects encountered in the abdomen and pelvis on CT.  The article is in this month’s Radiographics, a publication by the Radiologic Society of North America.  The article reviews the myriad of objects, including intentional, unintentional, and therapeutic objects which may be found within the abdomen and pelvis.  An understanding of these objects, and their clinical implications to the patient are described.

Dr. Petrovitch is a dual-fellowship trained radiologist with specialty training in body imaging of the abdomen and pelvis as well as cardiac imaging.  Dr. Petrovitch has abdominal imaging interests in hepatobiliary imaging, pancreatic imaging, as well as pelvic imaging including urogynecology, women’s pelvic imaging, and perianal diseases.
