Ali Alikhani, M.D.
Dr. Alikhani joins Northern Virginia Radiology Consultants as a dual board certified Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. He finished his training/fellowship at Brown University where he was able to train with nationally recognized physicians in the field of Interventional Radiology and treat a variety of disease processes.
Dr. Alikhani passionate about patient care and advocacy, along with a spectrum of treatments including:
- Interventional Oncology (Endovascular and Percutaneous treatment of malignant tumors).
- Women’s Health including Uterine Artery Embolization (for heavy menstrual bleeding, bloating, abdominal pain and pressure) and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome treatment (endovascular embolization of pelvic venous varices).
- Prostate Artery Embolization (minimally invasive and effective treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia).
- Peripheral Vascular Disease.
- Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization for internal hemorrhoids.
- Acute compression fractures of the spine via Vertebroplasty.
- Treatment of certain traumatic injuries and acute hemorrhages, and variety of other inpatient and outpatient needs.
Dr. Alikhani spends his leisure traveling with family and friends, playing tennis, snowboarding, basketball, biking and weight lifting and attending sports, comedy and live music events.
