Wooil Kim, M.D.
Dr. Kim joins Northern Virginia Radiology Consultants as a diagnostic radiologist with multi-subspecialty training in neuroradiology, cardiothoracic imaging and nuclear medicine.
He earned his MD from Korea University College of Medicine and completed his internship and four-year residency at Samsung Medical Center in South Korea. After serving as a naval lieutenant, he continued his career in the U.S.
He completed a multi-subspecialty fellowship at the University of Virginia, focusing on cardiothoracic imaging, neuroradiology, and nuclear medicine. His expertise includes interpreting MRIs of the brain, chest, and abdomen, as well as cardiac CT/MR and PET/CT. Dr. Kim has published over 20 original articles on topics such as cardiothoracic imaging, body imaging, and AI.
Now residing in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children, Dr. Kim’s life is centered around family.
